Mae Govannen and welcome to NorthWesternesse - The Fellowship of Lord of the Rings Fans in the Pacific Northwest. Our group offers fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's writings and Peter Jackson's movie trilogy the opportunity to gather for fellowship, feasting, and fun in the beautiful Northwest. We have hosted a variety of activities, including Barliman's Bash, the Coronation of King Elessar, Bilbo's birthday parties, Lord of the Rings sand sculpture building, game days, line parties …and an Oscar bash celebrating the movie trilogy's clean sweep of the Academy Awards in 2004!
In addition, we have been privileged to support a number of actors and artists associated with the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy who have come to Seattle, including Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, Howard Shore, Andy Serkis, John Rhys-Davies, Craig Parker, Bruce Hopkins, and Alan Lee.
And we've even made a video that celebrates our unique “NorthWesternesse” culture!
But as much as we like to party with the hobbits, we also feel an elven responsibility to be good stewards of Middle-Earth and its varied inhabitants by supporting a variety of charities and affiliates. Please visit our affiliates listed to the right.
